Thatcher lead the pigs to the trough, and now we’re all drowning in their stinking shit.

While the Police have said that although their role is not to ‘uphold respect’ for Thatcher at her funeral, they have said that they will ‘Fucking Nick’ anyone causing ‘distress, harassment or alarm’ under Section 5 of the Public Order Act 1986 (Thatcher’s own nasty Act) – an incredibly broad law, totally open to subjective interpretation and one widely regarded as a menace to free speech and the right to protest. It has been repeatedly abused by ‘over-zealous’ (read, cunty) coppers and prosecutors, to variously arrest gay rights campaigners, Christian street preachers, critics of Scientology and even students making jokes.

So even the act of simply turning your back on the hearse / gun-carriage could be deemed as ‘distressing’…Although I’m sure that won’t deter people from doing so. This is all very reminiscent of the death of another authoritarian pig in 2011, and perhaps tells us something about the supposed democracy that we all live in:-

THATCHER DEATH PARTY- A GRAND NIGHT OUT!

What a magnificent night of joy and solidarity! Despite the pissing rain and police intimidation, I don’t think so many people (I’d say 3-4000) have had such fun in Trafalgar Square for years…When I arrived at 6pm there were about a thousand standing about in something of a tense and apprehensive way- until some wag (who might have been me- modest, I know)) shouted ‘Is everybody happy!?’ and ‘DING DONG!’- then the spell was broken as the assembled throng broke out into the repeated and raucous chant of ‘Maggie, Maggie, Maggie, dead, dead, DEAD!’ . The vibe went from great, to terrific, as the tunes of the samba band and the sound system belted out,  and especially when the banner for the North East NUM turned up- people shared drinks, memories and their common  anger for the wasted 80s and the shit we’re in now. We created an Autonomous Zone, and while we didn’t manage quite as much mischief as we’d have perhaps liked, I think everybody there can be proud that they made the fucking heroic effort to have a massive piss-up at the expense of Thatcher’s memory.  The unctuous SWP showed up with their bourgeois pergola and miserable paper sellers who were roundly ignored (and who buggered off when the sun went down and it got a little fruity with the Old Bill).

Apparently a few fascists made their presence felt, one of ours got bottled by one of the cunts, but word has it the scum were tracked down to a pub on Whitehall by some Durham miners and Antifa comrades and ‘politely‘ seen off.

Plainclothes cops also mingled in with the crowd making crass attempts to gather information from pissed people, but a woman I spoke to rumbled one arsehole who scuttled off without a word…

A rather inebriated Irish guy took exception to the union flag umbrella being used by a bloke doing a live feed to the net, it was unceremoniously ripped from him and completely destroyed.

A lovely welsh woman told me and my comrade the miners are planning to turn up to Maggot Catcher’s funeral and protest by lining the route and turning their backs on her coffin…

Retiring to the Chandos pub for a pint or five, the place was heaving with pissed and happy Thatcher-haters of all hues, united in the joy of her demise, we chanted and danced to ‘I’d rather be a picket than a scab’.  The warmth and solidarity flowing through both young and old was palpable, and living proof that there is, and will always be, such a thing as ‘society’ despite Thatcher’s demented, sociopathic, claim otherwise…
